Seeking views on who hold the keys to your workplace superpower ... in a world where the number of low cost wireless sensors capable of continuously collecting and analysing real time workplace data are growing exponentially, should we hand over the task of capture and analyse individual user personas & workstyle preferences to data scientists ?    … are headcount forecasts, questionnaires & swipe data still providing sufficient insights for your investment case decisions ?  .... is connected intelligence capable of transforming your human-centric workplaces into a superpower ?

As connected buildings become more deeply incorporated into an organisation's digital ecosystem, workplace personalisation will become more commonplace as IoT sensors start to regularlay monitor behaviour patterns, anticipate needs and automate local settings (e.g. temperature, lighting, desk height etc.).

However, in order to create tomorrow's workplace environments, organisations' need to address the challenge of  capturing (preferably with employee's permission!) and analysising (AI) huge volumes of workforce and workplace data (... aka your building's digital exhaust).

Given challenges stitching together different technologies coupled with AI capabilities needed to analysing huge volume of sensor data, I expect cooperation agreements with a technology partner offer the simpliest way to connect the dots!

All good news for Microsoft's who is currently launch 'Places' ... a solution to make Hybrid Working, Work.
